Corporate Social Responsibility At Benefitax

As a tax consultancy and auditing company, we are bound by strict legal requirements – but that is not enough for us. We feel particularly committed to our clients, employees and the environment and would like to make a contribution so that we can continue to use these resources in the future with a clear conscience.

Our clients - a partnership based on mutual trust

As a tax consultancy and auditing company, we are subject to strict legal regulations per se and are obliged to our clients to maintain absolute confidentiality of all documents and information received. We take this obligation very seriously and attach great importance to always acting within the framework of legality in our tax consulting activities. Our clients appreciate this.

As an auditing company, we are subject to more far-reaching professional principles than tax consulting companies. We are guided by the principle of faithful and diligent accountability. In the case of audit findings and the preparation of expert opinions, we record all facts relevant to the assessment and evaluate them solely on the basis of the facts. In the case of expert opinions for courts and public authorities as well as arbitration reports or similar tasks, we present opposing views on the matter and weigh them against each other. We conduct ourselves in such a way that we justify the special trust of the public and uphold our duty of loyalty to the client.

Our employees - our most important asset

Our demanding clients expect a lot from our employees. We see them as the most important factor for our economic success. It is therefore important to us that our employees feel comfortable and enjoy their work. We therefore see it as our task to create a pleasant working environment and to respond to individual needs as well as possible.

To ensure a good work-life balance, we offer part-time jobs as well as the opportunity to occasionally work from home.
With a female quota of over 50%, we are ahead of many large companies – and this is entirely voluntary.

We invest in the next generation of professionals: We train tax clerks and offer internships for dual students. Right from the start, our trainees and students receive external training that goes beyond vocational school and are instructed by our tax consultants and experienced colleagues through on-the-job training in the specialist and administrative areas of a tax consultancy and auditing firm. This enables them to take on responsibility quickly.

Through regular internal and external training, we ensure that all our employees are always up to date with the latest professional developments. As a rule, our specialist employees far exceed the minimum requirements for professional training. This also includes having to give a lecture from time to time to practice for emergencies. We believe that you grow with your tasks and are happy to lay the foundations for resilience if this has been neglected at home, school or university.

The health and well-being of our employees is also very important to us. In our office, we offer modern, air-conditioned workplaces in small office units that allow employees to concentrate on their work. On request, many employees receive a tax-free employer subsidy for membership of a fitness studio located in the same building. This allows them to visit the gym before or after work or during their extended lunch break, for example, to exercise, go swimming or visit the sauna.

Good performance is rewarded: we hold appraisal interviews with all our employees at least once a year and those who show particular commitment can look forward to a performance-related bonus. We also offer some employees the opportunity to travel abroad as part of seminars and events.

Regular joint company events such as company outings or Christmas parties promote a sense of togetherness among employees and thus increase satisfaction.

Our environment - conserving resources for a better future

As an internationally oriented tax consultancy and auditing firm, we serve many clients abroad. We are also a member of the global alliance GGI Global Alliance AG. Business trips abroad are therefore unavoidable. However, we try to limit these to the bare minimum or to combine several appointments in a sensible way so as not to burden the environment unnecessarily. Many issues can also be clarified by telephone and video conference.

Goodbye to loose-leaf binders. We offer all clients the option of only providing us with digital receipts. Originals remain with the client. We have bank transactions transmitted digitally directly from the bank via the DATEV Bank Assistant. Via DATEV Unternehmen Online, clients have access to their accounting and know at all times how their assets, finances and earnings are doing. We have converted all clients to digital document posting. We provide payslips via an electronic platform instead of sending out paper payslips. We are happy to receive receipts for income tax returns, for example, electronically. This not only saves on filing shelves, but above all protects the environment by reducing paper consumption and transportation.

Voluntary commitment

We are economically successful, our employees are satisfied and hopefully our clients are too, in other words: we are doing well. That’s why we see it as a matter of course to go the extra mile.

Our Managing Director Oliver Biernat has been a volunteer at the IHK Frankfurt am Main for many years in the “Business Succession” expert group and the “Business and Economic Consulting” committee. Here he played a key role in the brochure “Business models and concepts of consulting companies“, a guide to industry comparison and individual optimization of the IHK Frankfurt am Main. He is also an honorary member of the non-profit association “The Indus Entrepreneurs Germany – TiE.”, which promotes entrepreneurship.

In good economic years, we support social projects financially with donations. In recent years, these have mainly been the telephone counseling service, the “MAIN KIND” initiative against child poverty in Frankfurt, the Lions Club Frankfurt Paulskirche, the Offenbacher Bürgerstiftung, the German Red Cross, drinking water for Ethiopia, the Bündnis Entwicklung hilft for Ukraine, the European Handball Federation Champions League Final4 and the Bergwacht Bayern. Of course, we also support the tax office financially, but this is not voluntary.

In addition, many of our employees volunteer in sports clubs, church and charitable organizations in their free time.
